Ranger Suzanne Buchanan National Park Service
It is with pleasure that I write this letter to inform you of the outstanding work Cheryl Thompson Cameron has done for our organization over the years. Cheryl began volunteering for the National Park Service five years ago as a member of our Blackstone Valley Paddle Club, her knowledge and skills for kayaking have been a great asset to the many folks who participate in our paddling programs. Her easy going personality puts all at ease and for many it is their first time paddling experience she is truly a leader on the river. The wonderful gift that Cheryl has given to our many volunteer programs is she shares her photography talents with all who participate in our programs. How wonderful to have Cheryl capturing the moment on the river, at special events or during a hike. She has become our "official" photographer of the "Volunteers in Parks" program for the John H. Chafee Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor. You can find her images in our monthly VIP newsletter, on our Web site of volunteers in action, and in many brochures for the park. Countless request come in for images of folks participating in activities throughout the Heritage Corridor and Cheryl shares her images for an assortment of publications, including the Valley Breeze, the Providence Journal and Yankee magazine. Her photography efforts have led to many referrals, our partners have hired her for her outstanding freelance photography. And all who have used her creative energy come away from the experience with wonderful images and nothing but positive words of her work. In closing I am delighted to support Cheryl in future endeavors for she has demonstrated her passion commitment and perfection to her work. One can only "Imagine Her Possibilities" Sincerely,
Ranger Suzanne Buchanan Volunteer Coordinator National Park Service
